Health and Safety (H&S)

  • Provide expert advice and guidance to all levels on all H&S matters.
  • Ensure that the H&S Management System and all policies and procedures are legally compliant, fit for purpose and aligned to ISO 45,001 requirements
  • Ensure that risk assessments and H&S audits are performed, reviewed and reported on
  • Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses; produce management information, analyse data and produce recommendations
  • Manage the H&S committee and lone working system
  • Deliver H&S presentations, workshops and training sessions as required.

Employee Engagement

  • Input to and lead on the delivery of the employee engagement strategy, Investors in People and culture change
  • Measure employee engagement, using regular ‘pulse checks’ to produce management information, recommendations and a feedback system based on ‘you said – we did’
  • Lead on engagement, inclusion and culture change initiatives, activities and workshops
  • Provide advice and guidance to managers on employee engagement
  • Manage and promote the employee benefits and recognition scheme.

Employee Wellbeing

  • Input to and lead on the delivery of the Employee Wellbeing Strategy
  • Provide advice, guidance and lead on employee Mental Health and Wellbeing activities
  • Lead on Wellbeing Charter certification and Time to Change commitments
  • Develop and embed wellbeing initiatives
  • Deliver wellbeing presentations and manage a mental health first aider’s forum
